Vivek Yeshwant Ranadivé was born on 7th October 1957, making him 67 years old as of 2024. He was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, and is one of the youngest of three children born to his parents. He went to the Bombay International School, located at Babulnath, Mumbai.
Vivek Yeshwant Ranadivé was 16 years old when he passed the enrollment for MIT [Massachusetts Institute of Technology]. It was around 1970 when the Indian government did not release foreign currency for Indian students/citizens to read abroad. That meant that he could not take the foreign currency abroad. He was still studying at MIT when he first began and founded his self-funded company, “a UNIX consulting company.” He also worked as an engineer and managed management positions at Ford Motor Company, M/A-Com Linkabit, and Fortune Systems.
After being funded by Cisco and Reuters, Vivek Yeshwant Ranadivé founded TIBCO in 1997. The company’s full name is TIBCO Software Inc. In 2016, he founded Bow Capital with the University of California Regents.
