Early Life

Yasmine Pahlavi was born on 26th July 1968 in Tehran, Iran. Yasmine was raised in the San Francisco region of California. Her father’s name is Abdullah Etemad-Amini, and her mother’s name is Forough Eftekhari. She talked about her educational background. She attended and enrolled at Notre Dame High School.

Yasmine graduated from George Washington University. In 1990, she received a BA degree in political science. She received her doctorate in jurisprudence in 1998 from George Washington Law School. She is a member of the Maryland Bar Association. Yasmine possesses fluency in both Persian and English.

Career

Yasmine Pahlavi began her career working in the Legal Department on labor law issues at the World Bank in Washington, DC. She then clerked for a Superior Court Judge in Washington, DC. She also worked as a staff attorney for The Children’s Law Center in Washington, DC, representing the rights of at-risk and underprivileged youth.

Yasmine was also the co-founder of the Foundation for the Children of Iran. She gained more recognition when she served as a leader. With the Foundation, she worked as a director from 1991 to February 2014. She was featured in “Documentary: Silent Refugees,” in which she traveled to Greece to meet Iranian refugees.
