Early Life
Reza Pahlavi was born on 31st October 1960 in Tehran, Iran. He is the eldest son of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi (father), the Shah of Iran and Farah Pahlavi (mother), the Shahbanu of Iran. His mother runs an NGO, the legacy of The Shahbanou Farah Foundation, established in 1976 in Iran.
Family
His grandfather, Reza Shah Pahlavi (15th March 1878 – 26th July 1944), was an Iranian military officer and the founder of the Pahlavi dynasty. Reza Pahlavi’s siblings include his sister, Princess Farahnaz Pahlavi (born in March 1963), and a half-sister, Princess Shahnaz Pahlavi (born in October 1940).
He also has a late brother, Prince Ali Reza Pahlavi (April 1966 – January 2011), and a late sister, Princess Leila Pahlavi (March 1970—June 2001). He and his family moved to Cairo, Egypt, in March 1980, and he moved to the United States for studies.

Reza Pahlavi is a married man. He wedded Yasmine Etemad-Amini on 12th June 1986. The couple have three young daughters: Noor Pahlavi (born 3rd April 1992), Iman Pahlavi (born 12th September 1993), and Farah Pahlavi (born 17th January 2004).
Their daughter was raised in the suburbs of Washington, DC, His wife, Yasmine, graduated from George Washington University in Washington, DC, with a B.A. in Political Science. She earned a Doctorate in Jurisprudence from George Washington University Law School in 1998.
