Guy Pelham Benson was born on 7th March 1985 in Saudi Arabia and lived half of his life overseas. He had his schooling at Ridgewood High School, and during his period in high school, he was known for broadcasting sports on local television.

He went to Northwestern University to earn a bachelor’s degree, and during that time, he worked for the campus radio station, WNUR. He broadcasted sports events and hosted political talk shows. He has a brother named James Benson, who works as a writer, director, and actor.

Career

Guy Benson interned for Fox News during the summer of 2004 and worked for the live television show Hannity & Colmes. After working for a period, he had coverage of the 2004 Republican National Convention.

He worked for an NPR station in South Florida. From 2003 to 2006, he was responsible for broadcasting the summer baseball games for the Chatham A’s of the Cape Cod Baseball League.

After graduating from Northwestern University [the Medill School of Journalism] in 2007, Guy Benson worked as a producer for The Sandy Rios Show, the local radio afternoon show on WYLL-AM in Chicago.

After that, in 2010, Benson became a political editor working for Townhall.com, where he has been publishing his write-ups and news since February 2008. Guy Benson also contributes to the sister site of Townhall.com, Hot Air.

He also works as a regular guest and substitute host for the show The Hugh Hewitt Show. In 2013, Benson joined Fox News as a contributor and started hosting The Guy Benson Show on Fox News Radio.
