Charles Hurt was born in 1971, making him 53 years old as of 2024. He was raised by his parents, Henry C. Hurt [father] and Margaret Nolting Williams [mother]. Charles studied at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia and received his graduation in 1995.
Charles has an older brother named Robert Hurt, a former United States Congressman. His brother’s term ended in 2016; before that, Charles was one of the possible congressional candidates.
Career
Charles began his professional career working in the writing and publishing department of the newspaper, “Gilmer Gazette.” The newspaper’s name was the same as that of the street where Charles lived in Chatham, Virginia.
While studying in college, he worked for a short period for three different newspapers. Those newspapers were the Danville Register & Bee, the Richmond Times-Dispatch, and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
